Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Flutter Engineer with Android expertise to design, build, and maintain high-availability mobile applications for mission-critical environments, including airports, malls, and enterprise service platforms.
These applications operate continuously with real-time communication features such as video calls, instant messaging, and streaming services. The engineer will ensure stability, performance, and robustness during network instability and in high-availability settings.
This role demands deep expertise in Flutter, native Android development, real-time communication protocols, and large-scale mobile architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Mobile Architecture & Development
- Design and develop scalable Flutter applications for enterprise deployment.
- Construct robust user interfaces following clean architecture principles and implement maintainable state management strategies to ensure code quality and scalability.
- Implement advanced Flutter capabilities including custom widget creation, intricate UI animations, and performance or memory optimisation.
- Guarantee that applications achieve enterprise-level reliability and uptime benchmarks.
- Maintain apps published on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Real-Time Communication & Streaming
Develop and maintain video and voice communication capabilities using:
- Amazon Chime SDK (preferred)
- WebRTC-based communication systems
- Address real-time streaming challenges such as adaptive bitrate adjustment, network fluctuation management, call reconnection and recovery, and effective call state control.
Ensure reliable performance during network drops, latency spikes, and packet loss.
Native Android Integration
- Develop native modules as needed using Kotlin or Java.
- Demonstrate mastery in Android SDK lifecycle, background and foreground services, camera and microphone integration, Android permission protocols, and native crash analysis.
- Verify precise implementation of video, audio, and hardware integration.
Networking & Backend Integration
Implement and sustain backend interactions via REST APIs, WebSocket connections, and token-based authentication to ensure secure, performant data exchange.
Reliability & Production Operations
Engineer applications to support persistent 24×7 operation.
Implement:
- Network recovery strategies
- State persistence
- Crash monitoring and recovery
- Background execution strategies
Participate in production monitoring and incident resolution for deployed applications.
5+ years of Flutter experience, strong state management (Bloc/Riverpod/Provider), built production apps for the App Store/Play Store, performance optimisation and profiling.
Android Development
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK
- Kotlin preferred (Java acceptable)
- Experience with background services and foreground services
- Deep understanding of Android lifecycle
Real-Time Communication
- Experience with WebRTC or Amazon Chime SDK
- Understanding of audio/video streaming fundamentals
- Experience handling network instability scenarios
Networking
- REST API integration
- WebSocket communication
- Token-based authentication
Good To Have
- Experience building enterprise or mission-critical mobile apps
- Experience with video call or contact centre applications
- Hardware integrations (camera systems, kiosks, IoT devices)
- Experience supporting apps deployed in airports, malls, or smart-building environments
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and mobile observability platforms

We have recently received complaints that members of the public are targeted by some agents through WhatsApp who claim to be from Hipster Private Limited and using our UEN number of Hipster Private Limited to prove that they are legit Singapore companies.
They also use a similar looking domain name, our logo, and address on the website to make it as similar & credible as possible.
We want to make it very clear that Our company doesn't appoint any agent/recruiter for this so call 'money earning by apps rating' or 'any Ponzi scheme' where you need to deposit any money to get jobs.
Our jobs are always posted on official company pages on social media such as Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook and WSG.
